Three pavilions and over 850 exhibitors from all over Italy: these are the record numbers for the next edition of the Piacenza Mercato dei Vini of Independent Winegrowers, to be held from Saturday 26 to Monday 28 November 2022 at Piacenza Expo.
The three pavilions made available by the exhibition centre will welcome all FIVI associates who have applied to take part and who, on the last weekend of November, will tell their work and philosophy at first hand, inviting visitors to taste and purchase the wines being tasted. In addition to the wines incredible offer, there will be a dedicated area for gastronomy, where food artisans will complete the event with their proposals.
“The Piacenza Mercato dei Vini was born with the desire to meet the public and promote our identity as Independent Winegrowers. After two difficult years, with an edition postponed and one conditioned by the pandemic, with this eleventh Mercato we want to give an even stronger sign of hope: Winegrowers are a central element in the Italian economy and culture, and Mercato dei Vini is the event that better than any other recounts and highlights this centrality.
As in the past edition, the innovative element introduced in 2019 is reconfirmed, with the addition, to the traditional Mercato weekend, of Monday as a day dedicated mainly to professional operators in the commercial sector and Ho.Re.Ca channel. The online ticketing service will also be enhanced.
“There are many novelties in this edition, the result of a great investment in organisational terms and of the successful collaboration with Piacenza Expo: the Mercato dei Vini is an event that, year after year, is confirmed to be constantly growing and has achieved important results,” continues Lorenzo Cesconi, FIVI’s President. “But it is not just a question of numbers: the public loves the Mercato for the unique and unrepeatable atmosphere that one can breathe, and the Winegrowers cherish this event because it is the one that most consistently represents them.
